Individual Nutrition Counseling:
Tired of hearing mixed messages? Friends telling you one thing and the nightly news making you second-guess yourself? Motherhood comes with its fair share of doubts and concerns, but feeding your family doesn’t have to be one of them. Whether you are struggling with your own weight loss, a child with picky eating habits, or even just time management in getting meals on the table, you are not alone. Chances are you already have the skills necessary to guide your family along a healthy lifestyle but are lacking the confidence and reassurance to stay the course. Schedule a one on one session to get personalized nutrition guidance that is tailored to the specific needs and challenges of your family, and not just a vague one-size-fits-all recommendation.
Not in the tristate area? Mom-n-Tot Nutrition also offers distance sessions via phone, Skype, or email in order to bring a healthy home to your doorstep no matter where you’re located.
Interested in a more in-depth education about a particular topic? Have a group of friends that would love to get together for a simple “Q&A” with a nutritionist? Whether it be a short class on the benefits of limiting processed foods and going organic, ways to involve children in the kitchen, how to handle holiday indulgences, or an informal question and answer setting, small group lectures are a great way to learn new information at an affordable price. Venues are variable and include, but are not limited to: mommy&me classes, private homes, local establishments.
I often hear clients saying they know what they “should be” eating or serving, but struggle with getting it onto the table. Come learn how to cook simple and healthy meals in very little time at all, or schedule an in home cooking class to have tailored assistance in making the meals you love.
Classes will be scheduled based on individual’s interests. Check back for more details.
Grocery shopping, fun or phobia? So many options to choose from and changing everyday, it’s no wonder many people stick to their old staple foods rather than spending the time to learn about new choices. With a supermarket tour you will be guided aisle by aisle as we review the latest foods and learn how to compare them to other options. You will learn how to read the labels accurately, prevent the food industry from tricking you into a purchase, obtain easy meal ideas using some your favorite foods, and ultimately save money by only buying things you actually need. A very helpful way to incorporate all your nutrition related questions as we have the food at our fingertips! All tours must be scheduled with a week’s advance notice and can be individual or with a small group of friends or family.
